Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed hydraulic designs for wet utilities systems, including potable water, wastewater, irrigation, and storm drainage networks.
- Use hydraulic modeling software (Civil 3D / Water GEMS, Sewer GEMS) to perform calculations and simulations to optimize system performance and ensure efficiency.
- Design key infrastructure components such as pipelines and storage tanks, ensuring they meet hydraulic and operational requirements.
- Conduct pressure and flow analysis, ensure appropriate sizing of pipes and pumps, and assess system performance under varying conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other design teams to integrate hydraulic designs into the overall project plans.
- Ensure hydraulic designs are coordinated with other utilities, structures, and systems to avoid conflicts and ensure effective integration.
- Review project specifications, client requirements, and site conditions to define design parameters and deliverables.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant national and international codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation for approval, including design reports, calculations, and system specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design processes, methodologies, and changes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, design teams, and other departments.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address technical queries, concerns, and requests related to hydraulic design.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 68 years of proven experience in Wet Utilities Design, specifically in KSA infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (Saudi Standards, GCC Standards, etc.).
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools (Water GEMS, Sewer GEMS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infra Works).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in utility design is a plus.
