Senior WordPress Developer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Qesm El Maadi for a Senior WordPress Developer. The Senior WordPress Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining custom WordPress websites, as well as developing and maintaining WordPress plugins. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide customized solutions, and will work closely with project managers and designers to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

Strong WordPress and WooCommerce Development experience (thorough understanding of WordPress/Woo APIs, particularly the Plugin API)

Excellent PHP Fundamentals, experience with implementing new features and applications from scratch utilizing WordPress Plugins

Familiarity with SEO techniques and tools

Familiarity withSchema.orgmarkup

Knowledge of QA best practices

+5 years experience in WordPress

Experienced with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

Experienced with calling RESTful APIs using Ajax

Experienced with the process of wireframing, designing, and developing a custom website to fit your business needs in the best way possible

Good knowledge of front-end technologies

Monitor trends in UI development and advocate technology standards and best practices

WordPress theme development built in collaboration with a UX/UI designer

WordPress plugins creation or modification

Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
