Senior WordPress Front-End Developer

Sharaf DG is seeking a talented and experienced Senior WordPress Front-End Developer to join our Egypt team. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining our e-commerce website for the Egyptian market. The ideal candidate has strong front-end skills, deep WordPress knowledge, and can collaborate effectively with design, product, and backend teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences. The candidate must be fluent in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain the front-end of Sharaf DG's WordPress-based e-commerce website for Egypt.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to ensure high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.

Translate design wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel-perfect WordPress themes and templates.

Optimize website performance, loading speed, and SEO best practices.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across devices.

Integrate and configure plugins and APIs as needed.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve front-end issues promptly.

Work closely with the product and content teams to implement new features and enhancements.

Support localization efforts, ensuring the website is optimized for both Arabic and English users.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of professional experience in WordPress front-end development, preferably in an e-commerce environment.

Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React or jQuery), and modern front-end frameworks.

Experience building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.

Familiarity with WooCommerce and e-commerce workflows.

Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

Experience working with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.

Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of SEO optimization and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GTmetrix).

Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.

Basic understanding of PHP and backend WordPress architecture.

Familiarity with headless WordPress or modern JS frameworks (Next.js, React) is a plus.
