MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To plan and coordinate maintenance service activities, ensure timely execution, resource optimization, and compliance with safety and operational standards to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- Process Application and Compliance: To support, guide, and monitor the application of JIGPC maintenance work processes and procedures. This involves ensuring that all contract-related actions are conducted in strict accordance with the established manual and escalating any deviations to the section Head.
- Service Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain service plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities through the scheduling of the required services ensures that contracts are awarded and mobilized exactly when the maintenance department needs them, preventing delays in critical field work.
- Contractor Work Selection Governance: To manage and monitor the Contractor Work Selection Criteria Process. This includes verifying that the Four Criteria Gate is applied to every request to ensure that external contractors are utilized only when internal JIGPC resources are unavailable.
- Service Planning and Package Development: To develop and maintain service plans for Long Form Contracts (LFC) and Short Form Contracts (SFC). This includes assembling complete procurement packages.
- Coordination and Communication: To act as the central liaison among Area Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Procurement Department and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of procurement processes, contract awards, and service tasks.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance services adhere to regulatory and safety standards.
- Documentation and CMMS: To utilize SAP for tracking service requests, PR supplements, and contract history. This ensures a transparent and auditable record of all JIGPC contracting activities.
- Resource Allocation: Manage labor, tools, and materials required for service activities.
- Cost Control and Modification Governance: Monitor service-related costs and manage the Amendment and Cancel & Supersede processes. This ensures all changes to scope or value are technically justified and formally approved.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track contracting KPIssuch as Single Source ratios and Emergency RPOsand provide regular performance reports.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze service data and contractor performance to identify opportunities for increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving JIGPC asset reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Formal Qualifications/Education
Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognized technical institute - Essential
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field - Preferred
Job Related Work Experience
Work experience in maintenance resources planning or contracting management relevant technical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (internships may be considered) - 6-12 Years Essential
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and CMMS - Proficient
Basic knowledge of gasification or power production systems (preferred) - Proficient
Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA) - Proficient
Ability to interpret technical data, schematics, and equipment manuals - Advanced
Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management - Advanced
Experience with CMMS and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Advanced
Solid verbal and written communication skills for coordination and reporting - Advanced
