Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Service Provider networking environments and will be responsible for network design, implementation, upgrades, and customer-facing activities. This role requires solid technical expertise in large-scale SP networks and the ability to work on complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of Service Provider technologies, including IGP, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing (SR), Traffic Engineering, and related protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR 9000 and Cisco 8000 platforms.
- Experience in network automation and programmability, including Python, Java, REST APIs, Ansible, Cisco NSO, and DevOps tools.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD), Network Implementation Plan (NIP), Method of Procedure (MOP), and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
- Perform network outages, migrations, and change requests at customer premises.
- Execute hardware and software upgrades for Cisco ASR 9000 and Cisco 8000 platforms.
- Knowledge of NFV and SDN concepts is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 35 years of relevant experience in Service Provider networking environments.
- CCNP Service Provider certification (required).
- CCIE Service Provider certification (preferred/plus).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in customer-facing environments and during planned maintenance windows.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Passion for Service Provider networks and large-scale infrastructure.
