Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise sewing supervisors, line leaders, and operators to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance and technical skills.
- Support the Sewing Manager in planning and delegating daily activities.
- Coordinate with planning and IE teams to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Ensure correct manpower allocation and balanced sewing lines for efficiency.
- Monitor line output, reduce bottlenecks, and implement improvement actions.
- Enforce quality standards at every stage of sewing.
- Work closely with the Quality team to identify and address quality issues quickly.
- Ensure defect reduction and promote a right first time culture.
- Support implementation of Lean and Kaizen practices to increase productivity.
- Monitor efficiency KPIs and lead corrective measures to achieve target efficiencies.
- Recommend machine adjustments and process changes to improve workflow.
- Coordinate with maintenance and IE teams for machine optimization.
- Solve technical problems related to machines, attachments, or operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Promote a safe and clean working environment for all staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Garment Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, machine handling, and sewing operations.
- Proven track record in leading large sewing teams in high-volume apparel manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen (preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
