Structural Maintenance Certifying Engineer / Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Structural Maintenance Certifying Engineer / Supervisor to perform, supervise, and certify aircraft structural maintenance for company and third-party aircraft. This role covers inspections, repairs, modifications, installations, replacements, and defect rectification in line with approved maintenance data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled structural maintenance on aircraft and structural parts.
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) after confirming work is completed correctly and meets all standards.
- Review task cards, work instructions, and maintenance schedules to plan and oversee shop activities.
- Guide and support certifying technicians and shop technicians to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
- Investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and work with Engineering and Quality Assurance on corrective actions.
- Record maintenance work, defects, and parts usage accurately in the system.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and shop stock are available and serviceable.
- Control resources and help reduce waste and maintenance cost.
- Follow and enforce safety rules, human factors, and approved procedures at all times.
- Support continuous improvement and deputise for the Shop Supervisor / Lead Engineer when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Structural/Airframe) or similar.
- OEM or equivalent sheet metal/structure certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance, preferably on Airbus aircraft.
- At least 2 years in a certifying or supervisory role.
- CRS issuance authorisation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance systems.
- Able to work shifts and in operational environments such as confined spaces and outdoor areas.
