Role Overview

Join our team as a Shift Technician - Mechanical where you will be an essential member supporting uninterrupted facility operations for our advanced data centre environment. As part of our team in Saudi Arabia, you'll work in a ONSITE environment, collaborating closely with engineering staff and management. Your experience in shift-based work and mechanical maintenance will contribute directly to maintaining high operational standards and responding effectively to any facility emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on data centre mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Detect, troubleshoot, and repair faults in mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations, providing immediate technical solutions to restore functionality.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate in English with colleagues, supervisors, and external vendors as necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence within the data centre mechanical infrastructure.
  • Document all activities and report issues using established maintenance management systems.

Requirements For The Role

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in mechanical maintenance within a data centre environment.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Ability and willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to detect faults, perform corrective repairs, and respond to alarms and emergencies with composure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in a technical facility setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
