Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to manage and oversee site execution activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contract specifications and authority requirements.a
The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on site experience, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Ensures construction projects comply with building regulations, safety standards,
- Site Inspections: Visit construction sites at stages to check quality and compliance. Supervise daily civil works on-site (structural, finishing, infrastructure, or relevant scope).
- Structural Safety: Inspect unsafe or dangerous buildings, advising on, or ordering, remedial repairs, or demolition.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor progress against the approved project schedule.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in coordination with the Project Manager and Consultant.
2. Technical Coordination
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with consultants for approvals and inspections.
- Raise RFIs where clarification is required.
- Ensure approved shop drawings are implemented correctly on site.
3. Quality Control
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved method statements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for inspections and closing of NCRs.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections and approvals.
4. Subcontractor & Workforce Management
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure productivity and workmanship standards.
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and report delays or deficiencies.
5. Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with HSE officers to maintain safe working conditions.
- Ensure site activities comply with UAE safety regulations.
6. Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track material deliveries and site consumption.
- Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules.
- Support project planning and resource allocation.
7. Authority & Client Coordination
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities when required.
- Assist in responding to consultant/client technical queries.
- Attend site meetings as required.
Selection Criteria: (What are we looking for!)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Civil or Architectural; preferably with equivalency certificate from UAE Ministry of Higher Education.
- Certified Active member of the UAE Society of Engineers.
- Minimum 10 years field experience, with at least 5 years within GCC countries.
- With valid UAE driving license with own vehicle
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority regulations.
- Native ARABIC speaker.
