Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of civil engineering works on construction sites, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, and site infrastructure.
  • Interpret and implement civil engineering design drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys, measurements, and inspections to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to civil engineering aspects of the project.
  • Monitor and control the quality of civil engineering work performed by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including the design team, contractors, and local authorities, to address technical issues and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and test results.
  • Prepare and submit site reports, daily logs, and other project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a site civil engineering role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Proficient in the interpretation and implementation of civil engineering design drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site and collaborate with the construction team.
