Site Engineer

Job Role: Interior Fit-Out Engineer (23 Years Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Interior Fit-Out Engineer with 23 years of UAE experience in managing retail, commercial, or hospitality fit-out projects. The ideal candidate must be well-versed with local authority requirements and mall rules and regulations, ensuring smooth execution of site works from mobilization to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Coordination

Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring work progresses as per approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion.

Authority & Mall Compliance

Ensure full compliance with UAE local authorities such as Dubai Municipality (DM), Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) etc

Liaise with mall management teams (e.g., Emaar, Aldar, Majid Al Futtaim, Line Investments, etc.) for permits, site access, NOCs, inspections, and safety requirements.

Prepare required documentation and support in arranging mall/authority inspections.

Technical & Drawing Review

Review IFC/approved drawings, highlight discrepancies, and raise RFIs where required.

Ensure all MEP, joinery, civil, and architectural works are executed as per design intent and authority standards.

Quality & Safety Compliance

Monitor work quality and ensure materials and installations adhere to project specifications and mall guidelines.

Ensure implementation of site HSE procedures and assist in arranging safety inductions and compliance documentation.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Prepare daily progress reports, manpower allocation, material tracking, and update project engineer/PM on potential risks.

Assist in planning work schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

Attend coordination meetings with consultants, mall engineers, and clients.

Communicate and follow up on pending approvals, clarifications, and technical requirements.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.

23 years of UAE fit-out experience (retail fit-out preferred).

UAE Driving license

Strong knowledge of local authority processes

Familiarity with mall rules & regulations, safety procedures, and permit processes.

Ability to read drawings, coordinate trades, and manage multiple site activities.

Strong communication and reporting skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
