Perform construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise & Quality Control: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, safety regulations, and QHSSE standards. Identify and report potential quality issues for resolution.
  • Subcontractor Management & Project Delivery: Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors on their work plans, schedules, deliverables, and ensure they comply with all internal functions, processes, and established procedures.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and compile daily, weekly, or monthly reports on construction progress, material usage, budget, and schedule variances, adhering to project planning, control, and governance requirements.
  • Documentation & Approvals: Prepare and maintain construction documents, permits, approvals, and ensure all project stakeholders adhere to contractual requirements.
  • Material Management & Logistics: Monitor material deliveries, inventory, and usage on-site, ensuring they meet specifications, project needs, and comply with the site logistics plan.
  • Project Schedule & Budget Management: Track project progress against the baseline schedule and budget, report deviations, and participate in developing action plans.
  • Safety Management: Implement and maintain the site safety plan, address safety concerns, report incidents, and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Design Changes: Review and assess the impact of construction-related risks and proposed changes (schedule or design) from contractors and develop mitigation strategies with relevant teams.
  • Project Closure & Handover: Conduct preparations of handover documentation, ensure compliance with established formalities and processes, and complete all necessary paperwork for asset operator acceptance.
  • System Implementation & Improvement: Participate in the effective mobilization and implementation of the required systems, people, processes, and equipment as defined in the project plan, and work with relevant teams to continually improve these systems.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Master's degree in any related field from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
