Job Description

The Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of hospitality construction projects, ensuring that all construction phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong background in construction management, particularly in the hospitality industry, with a focus on luxury hotels, resorts, and related facilities.

Site Management:

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
  • Ensure that the site is organized, and that materials and equipment are properly stored and maintained
  • Coordinate with the consultant about the Shop Drawing needed from the contractors
  • Review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for onshore construction and man-hours, duration and manning forecasts for offshore hook-up and offshore installation durations and resource requirements

Project Execution:


  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise on-site
  • Implement and enforce project plans and specifications

Safety and Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices

  • Monitor work quality to ensure it meets project standards and specifications
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process
  • Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed

Communication and Coordination:


  • Act as the main point of contact for all site-related matters
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to align site activities with project goals

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, site logs, and incident reports
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, site conditions, and any issues encountered
  • Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or Architecture Engineering
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in hospitality projects (luxury hotels, resorts, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:


  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH) is a plus
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
