Job purpose
Assist in preparation & monitoring of the detailed projects progress of the project to ensure full adherence to work plans. maintain and improve efficiency of the respective progress by timely planning/scheduling and follow up of actual Progress and planned to avoid any schedule delay.
Role Description
- Provide support to project team in order to develop the project baseline/tender schedules.
- Update the project schedule on weekly or monthly basis based on inputs received from project team to monitor the project progress and compares it with the project baseline.
- Contribute to providing the Project Stakeholders with the current work progress, comparisons & analysis between plan and actual progress, impact of alternative approaches to work, and areas of concern which required action of the associate task member (delay analysis).
- Assist in preparation of the Sub-Contractors Performance analysis report for better progress tracking.
- Assist in preparation of & monitoring the Subcontractors integrated Schedules to smoothly manage all subcontractor's interference within the project.
- Cooperate with Material or Sub-contractors Procurement department to prepare the Procurement schedules.
- Participate in preparing of EOT (Extension of Time) Claims for projects for having accurate project duration/contractual finish date.
- Support in highlighting critical path activities based on the project schedule in order to advise project management with corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with specialization in construction management
- 24 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects. (Adjust years as needed.)
- Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Solid understanding of project life cycle, baseline schedules, critical path method (CPM), and progress measurement techniques.
- Experience in updating schedules, progress tracking, and plan vs. actual analysis.
- Familiarity with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and contractual schedule requirements is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, procurement teams, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare progress reports, performance analysis reports, and schedule dashboards.
- Good understanding of procurement scheduling and material lead times.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present schedule impacts and corrective actions clearly.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent is an advantage.
