Role Summary:
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Software Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth for our Telecommunications portfolio, with a primary focus on our SMS Gateway platform and associated communication APIs. You will be responsible for the full sales cyclefrom prospecting high-volume enterprise clients to closing deals for complex telecom. The ideal candidate understands how businesses use communication tools to drive engagement and has a track record of selling technical solutions to both C-suite executives and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify and hunt for new business opportunities in sectors that rely heavily on SMS.
- Conduct cold outreach, leverage LinkedIn, and attend industry events to build a robust pipeline.
- Qualify leads based on volume potential, technical fit, and budget.
- Solution Selling (Consultative Approach)
- Sell our SMS platform (A2P messaging, OTP services, Marketing SMS) as a core offering.
- Sell, upsell and cross-sell broader Telecommunications solutions such as VoIP, SIP Trunking, Cloud PBX, and WhatsApp Business API.
- Conduct live product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Market Intelligence
- Stay updated on telecom regulations (e.g., GDPR, local SMS filtering laws, and carrier changes).
- Provide feedback to the Product Team regarding requested features or market gaps.
Requirements
- Experience: 35+ years of B2B sales experience, specifically within SaaS, CPaaS, or Telecoms.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with SMS APIs, SMPP protocols, and how businesses use 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication).
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills; ability to explain technical API integrations in plain English to business owners.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and a basic understanding of software integration logic.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
