Snowflake Data Engineer

Job description

• We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai.
• The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing robust data solutions on the Snowflake platform.
• This role demands a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, SQL optimization, and cloud-based data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Snowflake Architecture & Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data warehouses using Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures within Snowflake.
• Implement data modeling and data warehousing best practices.
• Manage Snowflake virtual warehouses, storage, and security.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation into Snowflake.

Data Integration & ETL/ELT:

• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using various tools and techniques to load data into Snowflake.

• Integrate Snowflake with other data sources and applications.

• Implement data quality checks and data validation processes.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:

• Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning and resource management.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and data-related issues.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex SQL queries and data pipelines.

Data Governance & Security:

• Implement and enforce data governance and security policies within Snowflake.

• Manage user access and permissions.

• Ensure data compliance and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
