The Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the SOC team. This role involves managing security analysts, ensuring effective incident detection and response, optimizing SOC processes, and maintaining a high-security posture for the organization. Also, the role may be required to ensure 24/7 coverage
- Lead SOC staff to perform monitoring, threat hunting, analysis, and reporting of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Lead SOC functions, to ensure the organization has the right controls, tools, technology, and visibility to respond effectively to cybersecurity threats.
- Perform threat hunting proactive activities to detect incidents.
- Use cases development to enhance detection capabilities.
- Investigate suspicious and potentially malicious activity and take actions within the networks and systems, to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate and implement SOC tools to ensure the SOC is equipped with effective tools and technologies.
- Investigate and resolve any technical issues related to SOC systems promptly, to ensure minimal disruption to SOC operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a SOC or similar security-focused role.
- Familiarity with common security tools and technologies is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common cybersecurity threats, also good knowledge with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response procedures.
- Accurately identifies patterns, anomalies, and potential threats that may be overlooked by others.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (ITI & NTI graduates are preferred)
