The Department of community Development is hiring for the role of Social Protection Section Head (UAEN) to join their team in Abu Dhabi.
Objective of the Role
Leading the development and improvement of evidence-based policies and strategies for the social protection in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through sustainable policies and programs that ensure integration with government directions and contribute to achieving a positive social impact for the targeted groups.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the development and updating of social protection strategies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in coordination with local and federal government entities, while ensuring their compliance with established policies.
- Reviewing and developing policies related to social protection, including social insurance, social support and other specialized policies, and ensuring their compliance with procedures and systems followed in coordination with local and federal government agencies.
- Monitoring performance and impact of targeted groups and initiative.
- Ensure that priorities and plans align with strategic objectives, and that they are implemented on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of full-time experience in strategy, public policy, program management, with a minimum of 2 years managing a team (Currently on a supervisory or Team lead level).
- Master's degree in public administration, public policy, social research or related.
- Available to work in Abu Dhabi on full time office based.
Required Skills
- Social Public Policy analysis and Strategies development (Social Protection, including Social insurance , social support and other specialized policies)
- Social program design and success monitoring
- Good understanding of the social needs in Abu Dhabi and in UAE general.
- Fluent in English and Native Arabic.
