Role Purpose:
Provide expert leadership on social safeguards for infrastructure/ energy related projects financed by IFIs, ensuring compliance with international standards and effective implementation of Environmental & Social Impact Assessment and management plan
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of environmental and social impact assessments, environmental and social management plans, resettlement action plans, restoration plans, and community health and safety plans.
- Ensure compliance with the IFI Environmental and Social Framework, & Standards & Performance Requirements.
- Conduct social baseline studies and oversee stakeholder engagement activities.
- Lead planning and implementation of measures to prevent and address genderbased violence and others.
- Manage grievance mechanisms for communities and workers.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social sciences or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in IFIfinanced social safeguards.
- Strong expertise in Environmental & Social Impact Assessment /Environmental & Social Management Plan Gender Based Violence, etc.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
