Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Type: Part-time (23 days/week) or full-time

1957 Ventures is a Venture Capital and Venture Builder backed by Riyad Bank, focused on early-stage fintech in Saudi Arabia and MENA.

We work with founders from zero to one: validating ideas, building MVPs, and scaling fintech products. You'll join a small, hands-on team where you can actually influence what gets built and how.

We're hiring a part-time QA Engineer to help us ship stable, trustworthy fintech application across web and mobile. You'll be the quality voice in the room, making sure we don't break things when we move fast.

What you'll do

Work with product and engineering to understand requirements and define test plans.

Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.

Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and cross-browser/device testing.

Log, prioritize, and track bugs; verify fixes with developers.

Contribute to or maintain automated tests (API, UI, E2E) where it makes sense.

Help define release quality gates and participate in release sign-offs.

Promote practical QA best practices (test data, environments, documentation).

Requirements

What we're looking for

35+ years in QA/testing for web or mobile products.

Solid understanding of testing types (regression, exploratory, smoke, UAT, etc.).

Experience with test and issue tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail, Zephyr or similar).

Comfortable with API testing (Postman or similar) and basic log/browser dev tools.

Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium) is a big plus.

Bonus: experience in fintech, payments, or any regulated domain.

Able to work part-time with good overlap with the core team in Riyadh.
