Software Quality Control Specialist
Overview
As a Software Quality Control Specialist at PSdigital. You will have a keen eye for identifying defects and inconsistencies in software applications and possess the ability to devise effective strategies for quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Perform thorough testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been fixed and do not reoccur.
- Document and report bugs and errors encountered during testing, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in the design and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving software quality and user experience.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation related to software testing procedures and methodologies.
- Conduct periodic audits of software development processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, 2 years of experience minimum.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using testing tools such as TFS, JIRA, or similar.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
