SolidWorks Designer – Road Construction Industry

Job Summary:

SolidWorks Designer with experience in road construction projects, specializing in sheet metal, weldments, and fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Design sheet metal parts (panels, brackets, enclosures)
• Develop weldments for frames, supports, and structural components
• Prepare detailed shop and fabrication drawings
• Convert IFC drawings into accurate fabrication/shop drawings
• Coordinate with engineers and fabrication teams
• Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing (cutting, bending, welding)

Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks (Sheet Metal & Weldments)
• Experience in metal fabrication and industrial projects
• Ability to read and convert IFC and technical drawings
• Understanding of materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes

Qualification:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant design experience
