The Team You Will Join
You will join the Technology Engineering organization at MetLife, working closely with product squads, development teams, security, and operations. The team is responsible for enabling secure, scalable, and reliable delivery of digital platforms through modern DevOps and cloud-native practices.
The Opportunity
The Solution Engineer plays a critical role in enabling continuous delivery, platform reliability, and DevSecOps execution across our technology landscape. This role is essential to operationalizing our Agile and cloud strategy by automating environments, strengthening security and compliance controls, and ensuring stable, resilient production systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with modern tooling while contributing directly to business outcomes.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Implement and support highly available, scalable, and self-healing solutions
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
- Automate deployment, monitoring, logging, and operational processes
- Support security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
- Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to enable efficient delivery
- Contribute to DevOps culture adoption and continuous improvement
What You Need To Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 7+ years of professional experience, with strong Working experience in DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, application monitoring, and operations
- Experience with cloud-native technologies and automation tools
- Understanding of secure design, secure coding, and DevSecOps practices
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile teams
Additional Skills
- Experience with Azure or other public cloud platforms
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and containerized environments
- Familiarity with automated testing and release management
- SAFe or Agile-related certifications
Certifications
- SAFe DevOps or SAFe Agile Software Engineering (preferred)
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or equivalent cloud certification
