Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a South Indian Cook based in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities include preparing authentic South Indian cuisine, maintaining consistency in taste and quality, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the implementation of hygiene and food safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with kitchen staff to create menu items, supervising food preparation, and monitoring food storage and inventory.

Qualifications

• Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes, including breakfast items such as idli, dosa, vada, uttapam, pongal, upma, and appam
• Prepare chutneys, sambar, rasam, and other accompaniments according to traditional recipes
• Handle batter preparation and fermentation for dosa and idli
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards
• Manage preparation and timely service of breakfast meals
• Monitor stock levels and assist with kitchen inventory and ingredient storage
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
• Assist in menu planning and daily kitchen preparation
• Work efficiently under time constraints, especially during breakfast service hours.
