Strategy

Job Description

  • Apply cost accounting principles to provide detailed actionable cost information not available in general accounting systems.
  • Support business modeling and financial analysis to contribute to informed and evidence based financial decision-making.
  • Prepare key performance indicator (KPI) results for related cost activities and analyze the results
  • Contribute to pricing studies for new or revised services in line with approved financial frameworks.
  • Provide inputs to legislative and policy proposals related to service pricing and cost recovery.
  • Conduct financial impact assessments for agreements, and MoUs prior to approval
  • Assess employee and customer suggestions for financial impact and prepare supporting studies.

Operations

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Implement and control day-to-day accounting, costing, forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Apply cost accounting principles that provide detailed activity information not provided by financial accounting
  • Assist with preparation of monthly cost reports.
  • Conduct comparative financial analysis of activities according to statistical data and coordinate with concerned departments
  • Communicate results of analysis with internal and external stakeholders, recommending corrective procedures where needed.
  • Recommend enhancements to financial study methodologies to improve accuracy, reliability and consistency.
  • Review and update policies and procedures related to financial studies in line with RTA requirements.

Product / Process Improvement

  • Monitor cost changes and conduct variance analysis to enhance accuracy and reliability of reporting.
  • Recommend corrective measures and process enhancements to strengthen financial controls and cost management practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Education Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree in Finance 3+ Years in case of Master's degree (5+ years in case of Bachelor's degree)
  • Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Expertise in business process management and optimization
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and KPI/statistical evaluation skills
  • Proficiency in cost accounting, service costing, and expenditure control
  • Experience managing enterprise financial systems
  • Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting
  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of pricing mechanisms, policies, and revenue strategies
  • Ability to conduct financial feasibility and strategic revenue studies
  • Familiarity with legislative compliance and financial regulations
