Job Description
Data & AI Governance Program Management:
- Contribute to the implementation and operationalization of data and AI governance policies, standards, and procedures through governance tooling (Atlan).
- Translate governance requirements into configurations, workflows, and controls within the data governance platform.
- Support the technical execution of data stewardship and ownership models, ensuring governance policies are effectively applied and traceable.
Data Quality Assurance:
- Configure and support data quality rules, checks, and monitoring mechanisms within governance and data platforms.
- Support data profiling, quality assessments, and issue tracking through tooling and metadata-driven approaches.
- Assist in the definition and operationalization of data quality metrics and dashboards, in collaboration with data engineering and analytics teams.
Data Security and Compliance:
- Support the technical implementation of data security and privacy requirements (e.g. classification, sensitivity labels, access-related metadata) within governance and data platforms.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure governance tooling aligns with data protection, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Training
- Engage with business units, IT, and analytics teams to promote data governance best practices.
- Provide training and guidance on data governance tools and policies.
- Facilitate workshops and forums to drive data stewardship culture.
Tool Implementation & Management:
- Administer, configure, and evolve Atlan as the central data governance platform, including catalog setup, metadata ingestion, stewardship roles, workflows, policies, and quality-related capabilities.
- Provide hands-on operational support to Data Stewards and technical users, including troubleshooting, configuration support, and enablement.
- Ensure effective integration between Atlan and core data platform technologies (e.g. Snowflake and Power BI) to support metadata synchronization, lineage, and governed data consumption.
- Stay up to date with Snowflake and Power BI governance-related capabilities and contribute to defining technical actions or standards within those platforms to strengthen end‑to‑end data governance.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Enablement:
- Monitor emerging data governance, data quality, and AI related technologies to identify opportunities to complement or enhance the current governance tooling ecosystem.
- Contribute to technical documentation, usage guidelines, and practical enablement materials related to governance tools and processes.
