Specialist - Design Quality Assurance
About the Role
King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) is seeking a highly capable DQA Specialist Engineer to support the Design Quality Assurance function across major aviation infrastructure projects. The role contributes to ensuring that all design deliverables meet regulatory requirements, international standards, and project performance objectives while maintaining governance, traceability, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical reviews of design submissions to ensure compliance with approved standards and specifications.
- Support discipline managers in coordinating multi-disciplinary design assurance reviews.
- Identify design risks, inconsistencies, and compliance gaps; recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance registers, review trackers, and assurance dashboards.
- Support authority submissions and regulatory coordination processes.
- Ensure alignment with ISO 9001, SBC, GACA, ICAO, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the DQA function.
- Assist in preparing structured reports and executive summaries on design quality performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Minimum 46 years of experience in design engineering, QA/QC, or design assurance roles.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with BIM platforms and digital review systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
