About the Role

The Specialist Innovation Projects plays a pivotal role in driving clinical, operational, and financial value across PureHealth's portfolio in the UAE and beyond. This role focuses on identifying, piloting, scaling, and embedding cutting-edge digital health and medical technology innovations across the group.

Working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and care delivery, the role partners closely with global digital health and MedTech startups and SMEs to bring high-impact solutions into the PureHealth ecosystem. You will collaborate with senior leadership and frontline clinicians to translate innovative ideas into scalable, real-world outcomes that transform healthcare delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Innovation Execution

  • Lead the execution of proofs-of-concept (PoCs) and pilot programs across PureHealth entities.
  • Evaluate emerging digital health technologies and innovative tools, assessing technical feasibility, clinical relevance, and operational impact.
  • Support the implementation of innovative solutions aimed at process optimization, cost reduction, and revenue generation.
  • Coordinate pilot planning, deployment, monitoring, and post-pilot evaluation.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple concurrent innovation projects (currently 8 live projects).
  • Develop and maintain robust project plans, including timelines, milestones, risks, and issue logs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Digital Health, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity to ensure smooth execution.
  • Work with internal IT and external vendors to address IT Governance, Risk, and Cybersecurity (GRC) requirements.
  • Establish and manage pilot working groups across entities and clinical teams to ensure alignment and buy-in.

Workflow Optimization & Clinical Engagement

  • Partner with clinicians, operational leaders, and end-users to understand current workflows and identify digital solutions that integrate seamlessly into care delivery.
  • Work closely with IT, IT GRC, Cybersecurity, Procurement, and Infrastructure teams to map and follow the Innovation Process Flow.
  • Support training, onboarding, and change management activities for clinical and operational users to maximize adoption.

Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the development and tracking of KPIs to measure clinical, operational, and financial impact of innovation initiatives.
  • Provide weekly status reports on all live projects to the Director of Innovation.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, using insights to inform continuous enhancement of innovation processes.

Communication & Transparency

  • Prepare and deliver clear status updates, progress reports, and outcome summaries to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a bridge between technical, clinical, and business teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain transparency with internal and external stakeholders regarding dependencies, risks, and timelines.

Operational Management

  • Oversee operational aspects of innovation pilots, ensuring on-time delivery and post-launch support.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, governance requirements, and managed change across technical and clinical environments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Ability to work across clinical, technical, and corporate functions
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance (preferred)
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and presentation skills for senior leadership reporting

Qualifications

  • 36 years of experience in healthcare innovation, digital health, consulting, project management, or healthcare operations
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Exposure to healthcare technology pilots, digital tools, or MedTech implementations preferred
  • Experience working with clinicians and hospital/healthcare environments is highly desirable

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Technology, or related field
  • Master's degree (MBA, MPH, MSc) is an advantage
