Responsibilities
- Perform a range of surgical procedures for pediatric patients, including both elective and emergency surgeries
- Evaluate and manage patients with surgical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patients progress post-surgery and manage any complications that may arise
- Educate patients and their families on surgical options, risks, and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all surgical interventions
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric surgical techniques and best practices
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in Pediatric Surgery
- Board certification in Pediatric Surgery
- Current medical license to practice
- Extensive experience in pediatric surgical procedures in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy and surgical techniques
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working with children and families
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to high-pressure situations
