Job Summary
The Specialist Risk Governance and Analytics plays a key role in supporting the effective implementation of the bank's risk governance framework and advanced risk analytics capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Risk Governance and Analytics, this role is responsible for supporting risk policy development, data analysis, risk reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Specialist will also assist in embedding risk culture, enhancing data quality, and delivering actionable insights to aid risk-informed decision-making across the bank.
Basic Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Risk Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
- 58 years of relevant experience in risk governance, risk reporting, or data analytics within a banking or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices, particularly within the UAE and GCC region.
Experience in working with risk management systems, data analytics platforms, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAS, R, Python).
- Familiarity with UAE Central Bank guidelines and international regulatory standards (Basel III, IFRS 9, etc.).
- Solid understanding of risk data quality management and controls.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience in regulatory reporting or audit coordination within the banking sector.
Exposure to AI/ML applications in risk analytics is an added advantage.
- Prior involvement in risk transformation or data governance projects is preferred.
