JOB PURPOSE:
We're looking for a Sports Content Creator to join our dedicated sports creative team. This role sits at the heart of matchday coverage and always-on content for a football club.
You'll be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing fast, culturally relevant content that lives natively on social platforms.
- RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Create and edit social-first content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp).
- Cover matchdays and live events: captioning, formatting, and publishing in real time.
- Write strong, platform-native Arabic captions with a deep understanding of sports tone and fan culture.
- Adapt long-form and broadcast content into high-performing short-form social edits.
- Collaborate closely with designers, video editors, photographers, and strategists to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines while still feeling authentic and fan-led.
- Track trends, formats, and memes in sports social and proactively suggest ideas.
- Support campaign launches, hype content, and post-match storytelling.
- Maintain high accuracy and speed under pressure, especially during live matches.
- JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience
- 13 years of experience in social media editing or content creation, preferably within a sports or agency environment.
Skills
- Strong understanding of football and the wider sports landscape (local and global).
- Proven experience creating content for social platforms, especially short-form video.
- Proficiency in mobile video editing tools such as CapCut, or similar.
- Ability to write engaging captions and headlines tailored to each platform.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, live-coverage environments.
- Strong attention to detail and storytelling instincts.
- Arabic and English proficiency is a strong plus.
- Team player with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with football clubs, leagues, or sports federations.
- On-ground matchday or event coverage experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for editing, captions, or content optimization.
- Understanding of analytics and performance-driven content decisions.
