Job Summary:
Responsible for leading and overseeing ATM and POS reconciliation and settlement activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial settlement. The role includes handling complex discrepancies, supervising junior staff, coordinating bank and card schemes, and supporting audits and process Improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily reconciliation of ATM and POS transactions across switches, core banking systems,
and scheme reports.
Review and resolve complex discrepancies such as partial dispense, no dispense, reversals,
chargebacks, and duplicate postings.
Validate transactions using E-journals, transaction logs, settlement files, and system reports.
Ensure timely closure of unmatched and pending transactions.
Settlement & Financial Control:
Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly settlement cycles for ATM and POS transactions.
Ensure accurate settlement with local and international schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Meeza, etc.).
Monitor settlement currency (e.g., 818, 840) and interchange/routing fees.
Dispute & Complaint Management:
Lead investigation of customer complaints and interbank disputes.
Prepare and validate evidence for banks, schemes, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with scheme timelines and dispute rules.
Guide and support junior reconciliation officers.
Coordinate with IT, ATM operations, vendors, banks, and cash-in-transit companies.
Participate in UAT, new ATM/POS deployments, and system enhancements.
Ensure processes comply with internal policies, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing reports and documentation.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong expertise in ATM & POS reconciliation and settlement processes.
In-depth knowledge of issuer/acquirer transaction flows.
Hands-on experience with E-journal analysis and settlement reports.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in ATM/POS operations, reconciliation, or settlement.
Experience working with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Meeza) is highly preferred.
