Job Details
Sr. Design Engineer Electrical with 810 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in EPC substation and power projects (132kV/220kV).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree is an advantage with UAE equivalency.
- Engineer's License from Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong technical expertise in LV/MV/HV systems, protection schemes, cable sizing, and substation design standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, and MS Office applications.
- Good understanding of IEC/BS/ADDC/TRANSCO/DEWA standards.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewed contract scope and prepared bills of materials and material requisitions for electrical systems including earthing, LV power, and control cables.
Evaluated technical offers and prepared TBEs for electrical components such as cables, termination kits, and LVAC systems.
Reviewed and submitted PQ documents for various electrical materials and systems.
Verified electrical design calculations (132kV, 33kV, LVAC) and relay coordination before client submission.
Reviewed layouts, cable schedules, termination schedules, and protection block diagrams prepared by design consultants.
Coordinated with vendors for inputs on Civil, FPS, HVAC, and SCMS systems and reviewed related documentation.
Oversaw vendor engineering deliverables for GIS, transformers, LVAC, protection, PQMS, and WAMS systems.
Liaised with clients and consultants to address technical queries and ensure design alignment.
Organized vendor meetings, attended FATs, resolved comments, and ensured quality compliance before dispatch.
Coordinated with procurement and site teams for order finalization, approvals, execution, testing, and as-built documentation.
