As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Procurement & Subcontractors Engineer to join our Head Office team and support our project procurement and subcontracting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process for electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted works in accordance with project requirements
  • Prepare and issue purchase requests, RFQs, and purchase orders for electrical materials and services
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and scope of works to ensure accurate procurement and subcontracting
  • Source, evaluate, and prequalify electrical suppliers and subcontractors
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and perform technical and commercial comparisons
  • Participate in subcontract negotiations, clarifications, and contract award processes
  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, site, and contracts teams to meet project schedules
  • Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors on deliveries, approvals, progress, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements, and company policies
  • Maintain and update approved suppliers and subcontractors databases
  • Monitor procurement and subcontracting schedules and resolve supply or performance-related issues
  • Prepare procurement and subcontracting reports and related documentation as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 58 years of experience in electrical procurement and subcontracting (construction or infrastructure project experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracting processes
  • Proven experience dealing with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of local and international procurement and contract standards
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); ERP system experience is an advantage
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
