What's it all about

  • Our mission is to develop Merchant Partnerships across multiple industry verticals and grow existing portfolios. The team is engaged across multiple functions within the Visa organization to bring the very best of Visa's expertise and assets to our clients - earning well-qualified wins to drive revenue growth while building trust and growing engagement and satisfaction among teammates, partners and clients.
  • The role requires leadership, vision, and creativity to develop the overall strategy, drive the expansion of Visa products and solutions, and lead the overall commercialization of Visa's business development objectives. In turn deliver the best of Visa solutions to our clients and help them meeting their business objectives.
  • This role will collaborate with teams from functions across Visa such as solutions, consulting & analytics, finance, merchant sales, issuer relationship, customer support, and marketing. Externally, this role will collaborate with key client executives.

The nitty gritty

So what do we expect of you, day to day

  • The MSA team owns merchant accounts for Visa. The role of the team is to build and grow existing products and solutions with merchants, and develop and grow new ones as per the merchant requirements.
  • This role will mainly focus on the travel and entertainment sector within the MSA organization- focusing on one big client
  • You will be expected to both manage existing relationships, and win new ones. This can be in the form of responding to clients RFPs, making client pitches
  • A big part of the role will be managing existing and new cobrands. This includes prospecting, lead development, negotiations, active selling and contracting for profitable businesses. It will also require implementation of new Co-brand programs and businesses to successful commercialization
  • Support day-to-day relationship and contract management for the assigned partners, expanding Visa's reach with the partner across functional groups
  • You will act as the owner of the client and based on the client needs, will work with requisite specialized departments within Visa to provide the most optimum solution for the client
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to lead/facilitate merchant business development activities:
  • Conduct financial and business analysis of strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities that increases revenue for both parties through a deep understanding of the partners business and evolving industry context, including payment strategy and solutions
  • Serve as internal and external thought leader responsible for communicating Visa's merchant partnership vision, strategy and perspective within a rapidly evolving industry
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, analytics, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resources

Qualifications
