Overview:
The Sr. Pre-Sales Engineer provides strong technical support to ADC's sales organization by designing tailored connectivity and digital solutions that align with customer requirements and business objectives.
This role focuses on solution development, technical engagement with customers, and ensuring alignment between client needs and ADC's product portfolio. Acting as a key technical contributor, the role collaborates closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to support successful deal closure and smooth transition to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sales teams to understand customer requirements, technical environments, and business objectives.
Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and workshops to clarify solution needs.
Support technical positioning of ADC's solutions during the sales cycle.
Design fit-for-purpose technical solutions leveraging ADC's connectivity and digital portfolio.
Develop high-level solution architectures, diagrams, and scope documentation.
Contribute to RFP/RFI responses by preparing technical write-ups, compliance matrices, and solution documentation.
Assist in solution sizing, Bill of Quantities (BoQ) preparation, and cost inputs under guidance.
Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to validate solution feasibility and technical compliance.
Identify potential technical risks and integration constraints during opportunity development.
Support proof-of-concept (PoC) activities and technical demonstrations when required
Stay updated on ADC's product offerings, technology roadmap, and relevant industry trends.
Monitor competitor solutions and provide structured technical insights to improve positioning.
Contribute to maintaining standard solution templates and technical documentation libraries.
Support preparation of technical handover documentation to Delivery teams after deal closure.
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior pre-sales engineers when needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical sales support within telecom or technology sectors.
Experience supporting enterprise or mid-to-large-scale solution proposals.
Exposure to RFP/RFI processes and enterprise sales cycles.
Skills & Competencies:
Solid technical knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, connectivity, and digital solutions.
Ability to develop clear and structured solution architectures and technical proposals.
Strong presentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Good understanding of enterprise sales processes and technical bid support.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills across technical and commercial teams.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
