As a Senior Technical Writer at LENSEC, you will play a critical role in elevating the quality, consistency, and usability of technical documentation across our products and platforms. In addition you will lead the planning, creation, and maintenance of high-quality technical content for video surveillance systems and enterprise/on-prem solutions.
We are looking for a hands-on, proactive professional with strong technical understanding and excellent communication and follow-up skills, who can collaborate closely with Quality, Development, Product, and Support teams to ensure documentation remains accurate, scalable, and aligned with product evolution.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technical documentation for video surveillance systems, enterprise platforms, and on-prem solutions.
- Define and own documentation standards, structure, templates, and best practices across the organization.
- Design and implement a documentation strategy based on content reuse, single-sourcing, and multi-platform publishing to ensure content can be delivered across web portals, knowledge bases, user guides, and training materials without rewriting.
- Work closely with QA, Engineering, Product, and Support teams to gather technical input and ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Create and maintain user guides, installation manuals, configuration guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure documentation is versioned, structured, and aligned with product releases and changes.
- Review and validate documentation for technical accuracy, clarity, consistency, and usability.
- Drive continuous improvement of documentation workflows, tooling, and processes.
- Act as a documentation focal point and mentor junior contributors or subject matter experts on documentation best practices.
- Support internal training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing initiatives through high-quality documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 56 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer in software, enterprise systems, on-prem solutions, or video surveillance domains.
- Strong background in documenting complex technical systems, including architecture, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with modern documentation tools that support content reuse, structured authoring, and multi-channel publishing (e.g., MadCap Flare, Paligo, Adobe FrameMaker, DITA-based systems, Confluence, or similar).
- Solid understanding of documentation frameworks that enable responsive and reusable content (single-sourcing, modular documentation, component content management).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and aligning documentation with release cycles.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for documentation quality and consistency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and act as a bridge between technical teams and end users.
