Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on SRE Consultant with deep expertise in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability, specifically leveraging the Instana platform. This role is focused on the successful design, implementation, optimization, and application of Instana within complex, distributed environments.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and continuously optimize the Instana architecture, including distributed tracing, service mesh monitoring, and cross-platform observability to meet specific application requirements.
- Lead in-depth performance analysis and troubleshooting efforts for critical applications, utilizing Instana to quickly identify root causes, systemic bottlenecks, and provide actionable code/configuration tuning recommendations.
- Execute the technical deployment and administration of Instana agents and configurations across hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift), ensuring high data quality, security, and resource efficiency.
- Develop advanced custom dashboards, predictive health rules, and sophisticated alerting mechanisms within Instana, ensuring they accurately track key business transactions and operational health metrics.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, Application Performance Monitoring, and Observability.
- Certification: Instana Certified Associate or Professional (preferred).
