Job Purpose
Lead the safe, compliant, and high-availability delivery of Helipad ARFF services across assigned sites. Ensure operational readiness, team performance, and compliance with GCAA/ICAO requirements and Jaheziya IMS (ISO 9001/14001/45001), meeting client SLAs/KPIs and budget targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide station-level operational command and incident leadership in line with SOPs.
- Maintain 24/7 readiness of ARFF crews, RIVs, equipment, PPE/BA, and foam/agent stocks.
- Manage staffing, rosters, drills, training, and competency currency.
- Ensure compliance with IMS standards, ICAO Annex 14 Vol II, GCAA heliport regulations, and client procedures.
- Act as the primary client focal point and own station KPI performance, audits, and reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years in fire services management experience and equivalent certification, including 3+ years in leadership (aviation/industrial preferred).
- Proven experience in incident command, station management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong understanding of foam systems, RIV operations, and helipad risk environments.
Qualifications & Certifications (international Or Equivalent Where Applicable)
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter II (or international equivalent) required
- NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I (or international equivalent) required (Fire Officer II and Fire Officer III - required
- HAZMAT Awareness/Operations NFPA 1072/470 (or international equivalent) required
- First Responder / EMT-B (or international equivalent) preferred
- Driver/Operator NFPA 1002 (or international equivalent) preferred
- NEBOSH/IOSH (or international equivalent HSE qualification) preferred
- Eligibility for UAE driving licence appropriate to fleet required
Additional Requirements
- Professional English fluency; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to obtain UAE security clearance and meet medical/BA fitness standards.
- Willingness to travel between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as required.
