Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on
Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across kitchens and back-of-house areas. The role supports smooth kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily stewarding operations across kitchens and F&B outlets
- Allocate tasks and manage stewarding staff duty rosters
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, equipment, and BOH areas
- Monitor dishwashing operations during service periods
- Enforce hygiene, HACCP, and safety standards at all times
- Train stewards on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices
- Coordinate with Chefs and F&B teams to support operational requirements
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and raise requisitions as required
- Ensure proper waste management and recycling procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and report any hygiene or safety concerns
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or Senior Steward
- Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Experience supervising teams in a hotel or large restaurant environment
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages an advantage)
- Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts
- Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations preferred
- Strong organizational and team leadership skills
