Job Description
1.Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of dental supplies and materials, ensuring optimal quantities are maintained.
- Coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock and place purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile physical inventory with system records, and investigate any discrepancies.
2.Procurement Coordination:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and select reliable suppliers.
- Review purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of dental supplies and resolve any supply chain issues.
3.Record-Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock movements, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Update inventory systems and databases with stock transactions, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
- Generate reports on stock levels, consumption, and trends to support decision-making.
4.Cost Control and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze inventory costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
- Conduct regular pricing and vendor performance evaluations to ensure competitiveness and quality.
5.Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with inventory management policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
- Implement and maintain proper controls to safeguard inventory and prevent stock loss or theft.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Familiarity with dental supplies and materials, their usage, and ordering processes.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Years of experience 3-7 years of experience in inventory or stock control, preferably in a healthcare or multi-branch environment.
