Role Purpose
Handling the site materials store activities by properly storing all tools and good, maintain perpetual inventory records and up‐to‐date records via bin cards.
Key Accountabilities- Preparing requests for materials in oracle system as per the site requirements after obtaining approval from project manager.
- Coordinating for LPO with the procurement department and with the supplier for delivery.
- Receiving the material from supplier as per the LPO and verifying delivery note for the quantity and quality.
- Arranging material inspection for the site approval material as requested by QA/QC department.
- Stacking the material as per ASGC regulations in the allocated storage area.
- Preparing GRN once receiving material from supplier.
- Obtaining GRN approval from construction manager and submitting the documents to accounts department for supplier payment.
- Issuing the material to site as per the site requirement after receiving approved material request form.
- Updating the oracle system on daily basis for Move order issue and getting approval from construction manager.
- Informing the site management once the material is received.
- Conducting physical stock inventory and verifying with oracle and submitting report to construction manager on monthly basis.
- Preparing daily reports for material and equipment and send to Project manager.
- Preparing weekly planning report for materials and equipment and send to planning engineers on a weekly basis.
- Coordinating with the central store for civil material & formworks (like scaffolding, ladders, old ply, etc).
- Coordinating with workshop engineers for arranging equipment (like mobile crane, Jcb, shovel, etc).
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers for rental equipment in case the equipment not available at our workshop and getting approval from PM or construction manager for processing LPO.
- Obtaining Quotation from supplier for special material as per site requirement and getting approval from CM/PM.
- Coordinating with the store teams (assistant storekeeper and helpers) to issue the materials form as per the site requirements.
- Arranging trailers from central store for returning of materials (civil and formwork).
- Ensure strict adherence of HSE policies and procedures set
- Report HSE incidents/violations etc. to superiors on timeStrict adherence of legal requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills- Diploma; successfully completed a vocational school training program in store‐ keeping (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
- Should have the ability to operate individually and under supervision
- Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize
- Excellent PC skills including MS Office products
- Flexibility in order to adapt to varying and changing demands
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Ability to work in all outside weather and site conditions, within a manual/workshop environment.
- Should have extensive warehouse experience in infrastructure and road projects.
- Previous work experience in the UAE.
- Hold a high school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
