The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and leading the daily operations of the facilities store, ensuring effective inventory control, timely material availability, and compliance with company policies. The role oversees store staff and supports maintenance and facilities teams by maintaining optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.

1. Inventory Management
Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, equipment and consumables.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
Initiate purchase requisitions to avoid shortages.
Conduct regular stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage, labelling and preservation of materials.
2. Store Operations
Supervise receiving, inspection and verification of materials.
Ensure proper documentation for all inward and outward transactions.
Issue materials based on approved requisitions.
Maintain organized store layout for easy access and traceability.
3. Lead Role & Team Supervision
Lead and supervise store assistants.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance.
Train staff on inventory procedures and safety standards.
Ensure discipline, accountability and adherence to company policies.
Promote culture of accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement within the store team.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain stock registers, bin cards, ERP/CMMS records.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
Analyse material consumption trends and recommend improvements.
Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
5. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and maintenance teams.
Ensure timely availability of critical spare parts and consumables.
Communicate stock shortages and urgent requirements proactively.
6. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety standards in material handling and storage.
Oversee safe storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area.
Ensure compliance with company policies and HSE regulations.
