Job Summary
Storekeeper is responsible for managing the inventory and stock accuracy as he is accountable for any negative or positive differences, and he must justify it with supported documents, maintenance, and supervision of activities in the stores. He keeps track of all the material movements to and from warehouses. He supervises material handling to ensure minimal material damage. He also conducts regular inspections.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare the store for upcoming stock. Ensure adhered to standard operating procedure for store space management
- Oversee loaders and labors and coordinate with logistics for dispatch of customer orders
- Ensure the hygiene of the truck and the way goods are loaded onto the trucks, Visual inspection of truck to be loaded (particularly during monsoon like leakage from roof, open spaces in the truck platform, through there could be water entry etc.)
- Oversee off-loading of stock to receive and review goods for damages and shortage. Inform the same to the Warehouse Manager / Logistics Supervisor
- Receive damaged and returned goods, review their condition and seek necessary approvals before accepting the stock.
- Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and report them.
- Ensure loading and unloading happens safely and timelines are met and verify goods against checklist
- Conduct periodic physical stock count of stock, fill up counting sheets, reconcile the results in case of variance in any of the SKU and update the counting sheet accordingly
- Check and ensure appropriate stock arrangement
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 1 Year of experience as a storekeeper.
- Warehouse Management skills.
- Effective Communication skills.
- Relevant industry experience is a plus.
