Strategic Account Managers (SAM) team member are professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and clinical teams to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways.

How You'll Create Impact

Strategic Account Manager / Specialist You will connect with strategic accounts / clients, understand, and analyze their most pressing business problems to deliver high value services which improve their productivity, quality, and competitiveness. You will deliver well scoped operational excellence and pathway optimization projects at target strategic customers through engaging other regional enablers.

As SAM You will be responsible for maintaining and expands professional relationship with strategically important large customers. At assigned customers, Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for achieving incremental demand of sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers needs and expectations are met by the company.

You interface with hospital staff (clinical and non-clinical) C-suite and senior management and understand their most pressing problems. As such you are also working as a connection between other enablers consulting, business development colleagues and the clients you serve. Additionally, you will interact with multiple stakeholders within the organization, including Solutions team, market development teams, sales team, etc.

Main Job Duties / Responsibilities Are

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers expectations.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. Partner with key hospital stakeholders, influencing them by developing well-articulated situation analysis for change
  • Develop actionable plans for immediate improvement and costs benefit solutions
  • Manage and execute end-to-end projects, leading to quantified economic value
  • Map, understand and assess clinical pathways and patient journeys within a hospital or health system settings
  • Understand and outline population health trends and impacts on the patient journey and outcomes
  • Work with accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations
  • Drive data analytics around clinical, operational and financial outcomes

Your Background

  • Demonstrable experience over 3-5 years including relevant experience in business development
  • Healthcare Industry knowledge or experience
  • Experience dealing with hospitals clinical leaders, staff, and C-suite/Sr. Management/stakeholders
  • Experience with working and communicating in international environments, preferably in matrix organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
  • Demonstrable program management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks
  • Experience in change management
