Job Summary:
The Strategic Sales Support Manager plays a central role in enabling commercial excellence across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia region. The position supports the General Manager and regional sales teams by driving sales performance visibility, ensuring CRM accuracy, transforming market intelligence into actionable insights, and enabling high-quality sales planning at country and key-account level.
This role acts as a strategic coordination and intelligence hub between sales, marketing, and regional leadership. It combines analytical rigor, strong business storytelling, and operational discipline, with a strong emphasis on data quality, AI-enabled tools, and visual communication.
The role is ideal for a high-performing management consultant or commercial strategist with experience in the energy sector, who enjoys working close to leadership, influencing outcomes through insight, structure, and clarity.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Performance Monitoring & CRM Governance
- Monitor regional sales performance across countries, segments, and key accounts.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and discipline in CRM data, including:
- Pipeline structure and stages
- Forecast accuracy
- Opportunity quality and probability
- Act as a quality gate for sales data used in management reporting and decision-making.
- Support sales teams in improving CRM usage, structure, and reporting quality.
Sales Planning & Market Intelligence
- Gather structured market intelligence from sales teams across MEA, including:
- Market dynamics
- Competitive positioning
- Regulatory and tender pipelines
- Customer and partner feedback
- Support the creation of:
- Country-specific sales plans
- Segment-focused strategies (Utility, C&I, Off-grid)
- Key Account Plans for strategic customers
- Translate fragmented inputs into clear, decision-ready insights for regional leadership.
AI-Enabled Analytics & Insight Generation
- Leverage AI, AI-Agents and advanced analytical tools to:
- Analyze sales pipelines and trends
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities
- Support forecasting and scenario planning
- Introduce and continuously improve AI-driven workflows for:
- Sales reporting
- Market analysis
- Competitive intelligence
- Act as a regional reference point for AI-enabled commercial tools and best practices.
Sales Enablement Content & Knowledge Assets
- Own and continuously improve the regional sales kit, including:
- Localized product presentations
- Industry-specific pitch decks
- White papers and thought-leadership material
- Case studies and reference projects
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and regional relevance of all sales materials.
- Work closely with marketing to:
- Feed high-quality commercial content into marketing campaigns
- Align sales narratives with external messaging
- Support campaign effectiveness with data and insights
Executive Communication & Visual Storytelling
- Create high-impact PowerPoint presentations for:
- Regional reviews
- Management meetings
- Strategy workshops
- External stakeholder engagements
- Translate complex commercial, sales, and market data into:
- Clear visual narratives
- Executive-level dashboards
- Structured storylines that support decision-making
- Act as a trusted partner to the GM in preparing executive-level materials.
Industry Bodies & External Engagement
- Lead and coordinate relationships with:
- Industry associations
- Energy and storage bodies
- Regional platforms and forums
- Support positioning of the company within relevant industry ecosystems.
- Coordinate participation in conferences, working groups, and strategic industry initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a coordination bridge between:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Product management
- Strategy and leadership
- Ensure alignment of regional priorities, messaging, and execution.
- Support structured follow-up on key initiatives and decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in Management consulting (top-tier preferred), or 5+ years of commercial strategy, sales operations, or business enablement roles in the energy sector.
- Strong exposure to energy, power, renewables, storage, or infrastructure markets.
- Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership in high-trust environments.
