Designation: Strategist - Internal Communication

Office Location: Abu Dhabi (DOF Office)

Position description: Lead the research, design, and piloting of innovative internal communication approaches, providing evidence-based recommendations to the Senior Director. Act as expert and advisor on internal communication strategy, and drive continuous improvement and best practices, ensuring all initiatives support DoF's vision, mission, and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research, benchmark, and analyze internal communication trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Design and recommend new strategies, channels, and campaigns to enhance employee engagement and organizational alignment, and lead events that support the overall internal communication strategy and planning.
  • Oversee the development of editorial calendars, ensuring alignment with business priorities and key initiatives.
  • Review high-impact content for internal campaigns, executive communications, and organizational announcements.
  • Lead high-impact projects or pilots, measuring effectiveness and reporting outcomes to the Senior Director.
  • Champion initiatives that promote employee advocacy, engagement, and a positive organizational culture.
  • Lead storytelling efforts to highlight employee achievements, organizational milestones, and values in action.
  • Advise the Senior Director and executive leadership on communication approaches for major initiatives and change management.
  • Develop frameworks, toolkits, and guidelines for internal communication, ensuring consistency and innovation.
  • Provide expert training and guidance to the internal communication team.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of specific initiatives, using data to drive improvements.
  • Proactively engage with senior leadership to understand organizational priorities and ensure alignment across stakeholder expectations
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with DoF's policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of media, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • It is preferable to obtain a specialized certificate in the field of the job.
  • Preferable to have 8 to 12 years of experience in a similar field/position.
  • Proven expertise in Change Management, Internal Communications, and Employee Engagement.
  • Strong background in developing and executing strategic communication plans and organizational alignment initiatives.
