Job Description

Position Type: Part-time Internship (3-6 months, with potential extension)

Compensation: Monthly Stipend

Location: Dubai, UAE

Department: Corporate Strategy

Reporting to:Strategy Manager

The Strategy Intern will serve as a critical research, analysis, and execution support resource for Newcom's 2026 transformation priorities, working directly with the Strategy Manager.

This role is designed for high-performing students who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to strategic initiatives with measurable business impact. The intern will support macro-level strategy development, transformation execution, and organizational effectiveness initiatives across multiple interconnected cohorts.

Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Research Support

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and best practices relevant to strategic initiatives and understakings.
  • Support the development of strategic planning materials, including balanced scorecards, briefing decks, proposals, and business cases for key initiatives.
  • Analyze industry insights and emerging benchmarks to provide data-driven recommendations that inform decision-making across transformation cohorts.

Transformation & Change Management Execution

  • Support organizational effectiveness initiatives by researching strategies, frameworks, and benchmarks related to various strategic cohorts.
  • Assist in operational excellence projects, including designing business process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and dashboard requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data baselines to support initiatives related to culture and talent initiatives.

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Collect, clean, and verify complex datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and transforming them into analysis-ready formats.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and tracking tools to monitor KPIs, identifying performance trends and variance drivers.
  • Translate raw data into clear, actionable narratives and visual insights for non-technical stakeholders and management reviews.

Stakeholder Coordination & Executive Communication

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations) to gather requirements, track project milestones, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
  • Support governance rituals by preparing meeting agendas, capturing key decisions, and tracking action items for steering committees.
  • Design high-quality, executive-ready presentations and reports that effectively communicate strategic progress to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently in the final year of a Bachelor's program (Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields) or pursuing an MBA.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) to accelerate research, synthesize large documents (PDFs/reports), and structure and draft initial content.
  • Diligence in validating AI-generated outputs against primary sources (crucial for Strategy/COO deliverables).
  • Understanding of strategy frameworks (i.e., Balanced Scorecard, OKRs, Blueprints).
  • Proficiency in Canva with a proven ability to prepare professional-quality presentations.
  • Structured thinkingwith ability to break down complex problems methodically.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skillswith ability to synthesize complex information concisely.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills ability to work across teams, manage expectations, and drive alignment.
  • Highly organized and detail-orientedwith ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter mentalitywith intellectual curiosity and proactive problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel charts).
  • Prior internship, work experience, or project work in strategy.
  • Familiarity withHR analytics, organizational design frameworks, or transformation methodologies
  • Knowledge ofprocess mapping and business process improvementmethodologies
