Job Description:
Euro Group Engineering Consultancy seeks a highly experienced Structural Design Engineer specializing in bridges. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of bridge structures, ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and client requirements. The role demands technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and effective coordination to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable bridge solutions.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:Take ownership of all phases of bridge structural design, from initial concept through detailed drawings, ensuring designs are innovative, practical, and compliant with applicable standards.
- Technical Review & Validation:Critically review and validate structural analyses and designs carried out by team members or subcontractors to ensure accuracy, safety, and adherence to codes.
- Standards Compliance:Ensure all structural designs conform to the Ministry of Transport standards, as well as local and international engineering codes and guidelines.
- Software Proficiency:Utilize and oversee the application of advanced engineering software for structural modeling, analysis, and documentation.
- Coordination & Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders to integrate structural solutions within broader project designs.
- Site Support & Inspection:Provide technical support during construction, conduct inspections, and review shop drawings to ensure construction complies with design intent.
- Innovation & Best Practices:Keep abreast of industry advances; introduce innovative design solutions that optimize safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance:Maintain high standards of quality in all deliverables and ensure thorough documentation of design processes and decisions.
- Professional Development:Support mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural bridge design and review.
- Strong knowledge of Ministry of Transport standards and international engineering codes.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (CSI, AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
