Job description:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our design team in Ajman. The ideal candidate will have hands-on UAE experience, excellent technical knowledge, and a strong understanding of municipality codes and design regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis for residential villas, G+8 buildings, mosques, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare, review, and validate structural drawings, calculation reports, and technical documentation in compliance with UAE standards.
- Ensure all designs comply with Ajman, Sharjah Municipality regulations and UAE building codes.
- Coordinate effectively with architectural, MEP, and project management teams to deliver integrated and efficient design solutions.
- Conduct site inspections, design evaluations, and technical reviews to verify alignment with approved structural plans.
- Support in authority submissions, design approvals, and client meetings to ensure smooth workflow and project delivery.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen, ensuring high-quality standards and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 36 years of UAE experience in structural design and analysis, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, PROKON, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of UAE building codes, authority submission procedures, and municipality design standards.
- Experience in high-rise and low-rise structures, foundation design, and reinforced concrete systems.
- Certifications:
- Valid UAE Driving License (required).
- Valid Society of Engineers (SOE) Card (required).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and coordination skills, and keen attention to technical detail.
